TikTok Shop Guard ("we", "our", "us") provides a Chrome browser extension and web dashboard that helps TikTok Shop sellers scan product listings for policy compliance. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Display name (optional)
Google account information if you sign in with Google (name, email, profile picture)

2.2 Listing Data

When you use the Chrome extension to scan a listing, we process:

Product title, description, and category text visible on the page
Image alt text and metadata
Price information

Free plan: All scanning is performed locally in your browser. No listing data is sent to our servers.

Pro/Business plans: When you pair your extension with the web dashboard, scan results (compliance scores and flagged violations) are sent to our servers to enable cloud history, reports, and analytics. Raw listing content is not stored — only the scan results and metadata.

2.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. We receive only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

2.4 Usage Data

We collect basic usage data including:

Number of scans performed
Feature usage patterns
Error logs for debugging

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve our compliance scanning service
To display your scan history and compliance reports on the dashboard
To process subscription payments via Stripe

4. Chrome Extension Permissions

Our Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

activeTab: To read the current TikTok Seller Center page content for scanning
storage: To save your scan history and settings locally in your browser
alarms: To schedule periodic policy update checks
Host permissions (seller-us.tiktok.com): To inject the scanning interface on TikTok Seller Center pages

The extension only activates on TikTok Seller Center pages. It does not read data from any other websites.

5. Data Storage and Security

Account data and scan results are stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Local extension data is stored in Chrome's built-in storage API.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

Stripe: For payment processing
Supabase: For authentication and data storage
Google: If you choose to sign in with Google OAuth
Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

7. Cookies
